Privacy policy
Scenifyr (scenifyr.online) is a private, single-operator tool that turns a script and a voiceover into a finished video. This policy covers what it does with your information, and in particular the data it accesses through YouTube API Services when you connect a YouTube channel.
YouTube API Services
Scenifyr uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the channels you connect. Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
What Scenifyr accesses
When you connect a channel, Scenifyr asks Google for two permissions:
- Upload videos (
youtube.upload). Used to upload the finished video and set its thumbnail. - Manage your videos and captions (
youtube.force-ssl). Used only to read the connected channel's name, add a caption track, check whether an upload has finished processing, and change a video's title, description, tags, visibility or schedule after you upload it.
Scenifyr does not read your analytics, comments, subscribers, playlists, watch history, other channels, or your Google account's email address or contacts.
What Scenifyr stores
- The connected channel's ID, name and handle.
- A refresh token that lets Scenifyr act for that channel, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The short-lived access tokens it produces are only held in memory and expire within an hour.
- For each video you publish: its YouTube video ID, its upload and processing status, and the title, description, tags, visibility and schedule you entered.
How it is used and shared
- Only to publish and update videos on your channel when you ask Scenifyr to.
- Never sold, never used for advertising or profiling, never shared with third parties, and never used to train AI models.
- To make videos, Scenifyr uses AI, voice and stock-media providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Pexels and Pixabay). They receive the scripts, narration text and search terms needed to make a video. None of the data Scenifyr gets from YouTube is sent to them.
- Scenifyr does not let third parties serve content or ads.
Where it is kept
Scenifyr's database and media are hosted on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm). All traffic uses HTTPS, and the dashboard is password-protected.
Cookies and your device
Scenifyr sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking. Its homepage loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, and its sample video plays in YouTube's embedded player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which loads only when you press play; Google's handling of both is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Its other public pages load nothing from third parties. Your browser remembers the dashboard password for the session, using standard HTTP authentication.
How long it is kept
While a channel is connected, Scenifyr refreshes the stored channel and video details from YouTube at least every 7 days, so they match what is on YouTube now. Anything it cannot refresh within 28 days is deleted.
Revoking access and deleting your data
- Disconnect in Scenifyr revokes its access at Google straight away and deletes what it stored about that channel and its videos: the token, the channel details, and each video's YouTube ID and status. What you typed for an upload (its title, description and tags) stays in Scenifyr with the video.
- You can also revoke access on your Google Account's security settings page. Scenifyr notices on its next refresh and deletes the same data, within 30 days.
- To have your stored data deleted, email contact@scenifyr.online. It is deleted within 7 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
